DESCRIPTION:
Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Capitol" hanging timepiece, 8 day, time only, dual weight driven movement in a Vienna-style walnut case with white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds.
CONDITION:
case finish has been rubbed down. Small veneer losses to incurved bottom. Enamel dial is in very good condition with some very fine hairlines above the center arbor hole. Brass pendulum with small dents and a bit of browning lacquer. Remnants of rear and inner paper labels. Nickel plated movement. Bottom finials may be replaced, but they are a good finish match. Rear portion of one of the upper finials is chipped off. Door glass is replaced.
